Facebook

Facebook - a popular name among those who are so into it. Individuals who have an account in Facebook are now using more of their time to socialize with other people amidst the distance and lack of time. And even if a community like Facebook serves numerous advantages, it also proves to have certain disadvantages as well. There are now series of improvements in the system just to make up with the shortcomings. Arguments regarding the different advantages and disadvantages of Facebook are stated below.

Advantages

• Allows user search for new and old friends
• Accessible to chosen universities having a high level of security
• Makes it less awkward when communicating with strangers or people you are not familiar with
• Love attraction - can be used as a dating service system
• Makes it easier to join groups having similar likes and dislikes
• Allows members to check students who are taking the same class, living within the same area, or coming from the same academy

Facebook also has some advantages for businesses. Since Facebook is a giant network of people, businesses can advertise their business to specific groups that would most likely be interested. Those people, if they liked the product, would in turn tell their friends about the company. Facebook, because of its design, speeds up this "word-of-mouth" process. Businesses that use Facebook would be able to reach a wider audience of people then they would otherwise. Another advantage is that the cost of this advertising is very low. Businesses can save a good amount of advertising budget by using Facebook. Facebook also helps business to develop relationships with their customers and raise the visibility of their company. Facebook is a very good site for both individuals and businesses as it helps them to connect and grow.

Disadvantages
• Overcrowding
• Weakening long distance relationship
• Unsupported by physical adjacency
• Contributes wide-range procrastination
- Addiction

Surely, the disadvantages don't pose a threat to you just by merely looking at it. Someone else has to prove that what users do with their profile is directly in proportion with what can happen to them. A user must understand what he is trying to give out otherwise things might get messy and people will mistook them as someone else.

It is quite obvious that a trade off is happening between the advantages and disadvantages of Facebook. While it increases the communication and connection between friends and the online community it also increases the risk of procrastination and makes it easier for others to stalk a user. Worse, some are actually punished for what they put on their profile and would claim that it was there only for fun.

Despite the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of an online networking service, it still is gaining demand and popularity among the young crowd. There are about 10,000 students (professionals and young professionals not yet included) who are joining into Facebook every day. This is regardless of the age, race and country. Some are now trying to criticize the status of professionalism of this site whether it's just another fad like other online networking services are.

A Good Sleep

In order to deepen your sleep and minimize disruptions during the night, you may need to make some changes to your sleep environment.

Your bed

• Is your bed large enough? You should have enough room to stretch and turn comfortably, including with a bedmate present.

• Your mattress, pillows, and bedding. Waking up with a cramp in your back or a sore neck? Experiment with different levels of mattress firmness, foam toppers or egg crate toppers, and pillows that provide more support.
Your room

• Keep the noise level down. Too much noise—loud outside conversations, televisions blaring, music, traffic—can make it difficult to sleep well. If outside noise can’t be blocked, try masking it with a fan, white noise, or recordings of soothing sounds. Earplugs may also help.

• Keep your room dark during sleep hours. When it’s time to sleep, make sure that your environment is dark. Even dim lights—especially those from TV or computer screens—can confuse the body clock. Heavy shades can help block light from windows, or you can try an eye mask to cover your eyes.

• Room temperature and ventilation. If you can, experiment with the room temperature. Most people sleep best in a slightly cooler room with adequate ventilation. Check your windows and doors to make sure that drafts are not interfering with sleep.

• Reserve your bed for sleeping. If you associate your bed with events like work or errands, it will only make it harder to wind down at night.

Get stress and anxiety under control

• If you can’t stop yourself from worrying, especially about things outside your control, take steps to learn how to manage your thoughts. For example, you can reframe why worrying is harmful rather than helpful and practice replacing worrying with more productive thoughts. Read: How to Stop Worrying: Self-Help for Anxiety Relief

• If the stress of managing work, family, or school is keeping you awake, you need help with stress management. By learning how to manage your time effectively, handle stress in a productive way, and maintain a calm, positive outlook, you’ll be able to sleep better at night. Read: Stress Management: How to Reduce, Prevent, and Cope with Stress

• If you wake up frustrated and angry with loved ones or colleagues—rehashing arguments over and over—you may need help managing your anger. Even if you later scoff at yourself for these thoughts, don’t be too quick to dismiss them. It may mean you have feelings of anger under the surface that needs to be addressed. Read: Anger Management: Tips and Techniques for Getting Anger Under Control

Optimize your sleep schedule

Make sure you are not going to bed too early

Set a regular bedtime

Limit napping

Improve your diet

A rich, hearty dinner, topped off with a big slice of chocolate cake might seem like the perfect way to end the day, but it’s wise to avoid eating a large meal within two hours of bed. Try to make dinnertime earlier in the evening, and avoid heavy, rich foods as bedtime snacks.

Get regular exercise

You don’t have to be a star athlete to reap the benefits—as little as twenty to thirty minutes of activity helps. And you don’t need to do all thirty minutes in one session. You can break it up into five minutes here, ten minutes there, and still get the benefits.

However, be sure to schedule your exercise in the morning or early afternoon. Exercising too late in the day actually stimulates the body, raising its temperature. That’s the opposite of what you want near bedtime, because a cooler body temperature is associated with sleep. Don’t feel glued to the couch in the evening, though. Exercise such as relaxation yoga or simple stretching shouldn’t hurt.

Sample of yoga

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga helps in maintaining not only good health but also good body posture.
Throughout the years, globalisation and changes in the standard living has affected the lifestlye of many people negatively.

These problems include:
• Stress, depression, anxiety and fear;
• Back problems and spinal or arthritis problems;
• Indigestion, heart disease and high or low blood pressure;
• Weight problems including obesity;
• Bad Body posture
With the advancements in the medical field, most people rely on medication to solve these problems.

However, other problems may arise due to the negative effects caused by long-term medication.
Thus, more people are turning to other forms of therapy like yoga to maintain good health.Yoga aims to bring different bodily functions to work together in perfect coordination. It is also the science of living right where the pratices can be incorporated into daily life.

Yoga works on all aspects, including physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual. Therefore, the body is worked 100% from head to toe during yoga classes.

At the outset, we must understand what we can gain out of this wonderful practice

At the physical level, yoga and its cleansing practices have proven to be extremely effective for various disorders. To get a sampling of how yoga benefits health disorders, please visit the Yoga Therapy section.
More importantly, yoga is extremely effective in:

Increasing Flexibility
– yoga has positions that act upon the various joints of the body including those joints that are never really on the ‘radar screen’ let alone exercised.

Increasing lubrication of the joints, ligaments and tendons – likewise, the well-researched yoga positions exercise the different tendons and ligaments of the body.

Surprisingly it has been found that the body which may have been quite rigid starts experiencing a remarkable flexibility in even those parts which have not been consciously work upon. Why? It is here that the remarkable research behind yoga positions proves its mettle. Seemingly unrelated “non strenuous” yoga positions act upon certain parts of the body in an interrelated manner. When done together, they work in harmony to create a situation where flexibility is attained relatively easily.

Massaging of ALL Organs of the Body – Yoga is perhaps the only form of activity which massages all the internal glands and organs of the body in a thorough manner, including those – such as the prostate - that hardly get externally stimulated during our entire lifetime. Yoga acts in a wholesome manner on the various body parts. This stimulation and massage of the organs in turn benefits us by keeping away disease and providing a forewarning at the first possible instance of a likely onset of disease or disorder.

One of the far-reaching benefits of yoga is the uncanny sense of awareness that it develops in the practitioner of an impending health disorder or infection. This in turn enables the person to take pre-emptive corrective action

Complete Detoxification – By gently stretching muscles and joints as well as massaging the various organs, yoga ensures the optimum blood supply to various parts of the body. This helps in the flushing out of toxins from every nook and cranny as well as providing nourishment up to the last point. This leads to benefits such as delayed ageing, energy and a remarkable zest for life.

Excellent toning of the muscles – Muscles that have become flaccid, weak or slothy are stimulated repeatedly to shed excess flab and flaccidity.

Healthy life style

1. Stay away from cigarettes
Everybody is aware that smoking is a major health hazard. It kills you slowly and reduces your life expectancy. Aside from increasing your risk for lung cancer, you also become extremely susceptible to other smoking-related diseases. It does not matter whether you only smoke a couple of sticks a week or if you finish 2 packs a day,.
Even those who do not smoke are risking their health when they are around smokers. They should limit their contact to second-hand smoke. More often than not, inhaling second-hand smoke is worse than you puffing on that death stick yourself.

2. Get adequate, quality sleep

Adequate hours of sleep should go hand in hand with good quality of sleep for your body to get the benefits of a full night’s rest. Your bedroom is your sleeping sanctuary and you should make sure that it provides rest and relaxation, nothing else. The temperature in your bedroom should be just below body temperature, there should be limited or mellow light and sound, and you should always have clean bed clothes.

Your body needs an average of 7 hours of restful sleep every night to completely recharge itself. It is also important to keep a regular sleeping pattern.

3. Have a healthier diet

Eating healthy is important to look and feel great, both inside and out. First and foremost, you should reduce your sugar intake. Small indulgences to satisfy your sweet tooth every now and then can make a difference to your overall health.
Make sure that you always have fruits and vegetables in your diet. These should be indispensable staples that help your body repair and maintain itself.
You should also avoid skipping breakfast. The body needs plenty of energy to function throughout the day. Most breakfast foods contain energy-giving nutrients like Vitamin C and D, fiber, calcium, and iron. Additionally, if you always eat breakfast, you are less likely to snack on unhealthy foods in between meals.

4. Exercise, exercise, exercise

If you are not into going to the gym, you have plenty of other options. The important thing is that you exercise regularly to keep your body fit and to burn the calories you consume daily so you won’t gain unhealthy, excess weight. In addition, exercise can also help reduce your sugar cravings.
There are websites that have free exercise plans you can do right in the comfort of your own home. You can watch videos or read articles to help you with your fitness routine. At least ten minutes of exercise every day can be beneficial to your health.

I like fast foods!!!

Fast foods are convenience foods that can be prepared and served very quickly. Although it is possible to eat nutritious fast foods, menus tend to be stacked with items high on most dietitians' ‘Avoid!’ lists.

Fast foods include salty french fries, beef burgers, fried chicken, and pizzas with a thick cheese covering. These appeal to the Western palate by being fatty, low in fibre and nutrients, but high in salt (one beef burger can contain more than 1000 milligrams of sodium). To make matters worse, they are often served with sugar-laden soft drinks or creamy milkshakes full of empty calories or fat.

Those who regularly eat fast foods should be particularly selective, moderating the intake of unhealthy options and choosing healthy options, such as salads with low-fat dressings, wholegrain buns, and skimmed milk.
The pace of modern life is fast, and nowhere is it faster than in America. We want fast transportation, fast communication, fast computers, fast photos, fast music, fast repairs, and fast service from the businesses. It is from the last of these that we got fast food.

Fast food outlets are take-away or take-out providers, often with a "drive-through" service which allows customers to order and pick up food from their cars; but most also have a seating area in which customers can eat the food on the premises.
Nearly from its inception, fast food has been designed to be eaten "on the go", often does not require traditional cutlery, and is eaten as a finger food. Common menu items at fast food outlets include fish and chips, sandwiches, pitas, hamburgers, fried chicken, French fries, chicken nuggets, tacos, pizza, hot dogs, and ice cream, although many fast food restaurants offer "slower" foods like chili, mashed potatoes, and salads

Making healthier choices at fast food restaurants is easier if you prepare ahead by checking guides that show you the nutritional content of meal choices at your favorite restaurants. Free downloadable guides help you evaluate your options. If you have a special dietary concern, such as diabetes, heart health or weight loss, the websites of national non-profits provide useful advice. You can also choose to patronize restaurants that focus on natural, high quality food.

Dancing means bodily movement and expression

Form of expression that uses bodily movements that are rhythmic, patterned (or sometimes improvised), and usually accompanied by music. One of the oldest art forms, dance is found in every culture and is performed for purposes ranging from the ceremonial, and magical to the social, and simply great.

Dance provides a rare opportunity to experience body as both functional and symbolic. While dancing, the individual is embroiled in body as the creative producer of ‘ideas’, as a medium for communicating ideas, and as the disciplined executant of those ideas. Ideas generated by the dancing body can include images of physical identity, such as a body's characteristic postures, stances, or gestures, or they might include physical representations of thoughts, feelings, moods, intuitions, or impulses. Ideas issuing from the dancing body also consist in pronouncements about its nature — its shapes, its differentiation of body parts or regions, its rhythms, and its tensile qualities of motion — as it negotiates its surroundings and the force of gravity, and as it encounters other bodies. Through the articulation of these ideas, dance both reproduces and generates key cultural values.

Bodies engaged in dancing typically learn a dance — the orchestrated movement patterns known as the choreography — and they also learn to perform the dance, according to the criteria of proper performance of the movement patterns. Both the dance's choreography and performance resonate strongly with more general cultural concerns.
Dance provides a vision of what it is to be a body for those who watch it, and an experience of being a body for those who do it. At the same time, dance places this experience of identity in motion so that the dancing body flexibility of each moment and its changing relation to the world.

BALLROOM DANCING

Dancing and romancing is once again being viewed in a more positive light. For a while, it seemed as though a quest for independence was driving couples apart on the dance floor, especially among younger crowds. The 1970’s saw a renewed interest in partner dancing when Saturday Night Fever exploded and a wave of disco clubs sprang up across the country. Since then, there seems to be a growing fervor among younger people for couples' dancing. The hype for country line and partner dancing that hit in the 1980’s followed by an increased interest in the Latin rhythm dances is proving that people enjoy getting to know one another in romantic and safe social contexts. Ballroom dancing provides just such an atmosphere

HIP HOP DANCING

Hip-hop is a modern culture consisting of music, fashion, and art. The first people who made this music genre are the African Americans. Hip-hop began to be popular all over the world.

BELLY DANCING

More recently, Belly Dance has been praised for its countless health benefits. In the West, people have been using it for the purposes of healing (physical as well as emotional), meditation, weight loss, stress relief and to improve muscle tone, endurance, balance, flexibility, body awareness, and coordination.

Although so many women start studying it because of its health benefits, they eventually find that Belly Dance allows them to express their femininity and rediscover their body's natural movement, while having fun, looking beautiful, and feeling good.

SALSA DANCING

Salsa dancing is incredibly popular throughout Latin America and the United States, and is gaining popularity in Europe and elsewhere. Many clubs specialize in salsa music and most towns offer classes in salsa dancing. While not the easiest dance form, because of its high tempo, is it not particularly difficult, and dancers of all skill levels should be able to gain proficiency within a matter of months.

Fitness is good

Everyone wants to feel good, have a lot of energy and lead a long and healthy life. The best way to achieve this goal is improving your fitness level with proper exercises. Maintaining a high level of fitness with regular physical exercises offers numerous benefits such as prevention of chronic health problem, promotion of weight loss and an improved sleeping pattern. Fitness benefits people belonging to all age groups, sex as well as physical ability.

Fitness Combats Chronic Diseases

Fitness is the key to combating various chronic diseases such as heart diseases, osteoporosis etc. Physical activity also helps in managing the blood pressure level and cholesterol level. Maintaining proper fitness will also help in boosting the good cholesterols (HDL) in the body, thus allowing the blood to flow smoothly through the arteries.

Fitness Helps In Managing Weight

Daily fitness regime will help you lose all your excess weight as physical activity helps in burning calories. If we maintain proper fitness level by exercising daily, we will be able to keep our weight under control easily. You don’t even have to devote a lot of time to exercising. Just keep yourself fit by taking stairs and not using elevators, walking during free time and doing jumping jack during the commercials.

Fitness Boosts Energy Level

If you end up tired after doing household chores or grocery shopping, it is an indication that your fitness level is not up to the mark. Carry out regular physical exercises to improve your fitness and in turn, it will enhance your energy level. Physical activity is important as it delivers nutrients and oxygen to our tissues and makes the flow of blood more efficient. Thus, we get more energy to carry out all tasks if we are fit.

Fitness Promotes Better Sleep

Those who face difficulty in falling asleep at night should boost their fitness level by increasing their daily physical activity. Having a good night sleep
is important as it improves our mood, concentration as well as productivity. Regular physical activity not just helps one in falling asleep but also deepens our sleep.

Mind and body fitness:
Many people who want to get into shape don't realize there is more to fitness than well-toned muscles. There's no shortage of exercise regimes that just promote the perfection of the body, or the idea of fitness as a part of a weight loss plan.

Whether you choose yoga or another form of movement for exercise, remember that our bodies are made to move to feel good. So when you incorporate regular activity in your life, you're moving closer to overall mind and body fitness. But if you are overweight, this can be more difficult. You can improve your mind-body connection for better mind and body fitness - it's just important to choose realistic fitness
It's important to be realistic about what we expect from ourselves. Consider your goals. Is 30 to 60 minutes on a treadmill a reasonable time frame at this point in your life? Are you setting yourself up for failure or success when you create this expectation for yourself? Would it be more enjoyable to you to do some stretching and a shorter period of time on the treadmill?

It is also important to tailor your fitness goals to your preferences. Some people like the idea of getting out of the house in the evening and going to the gym. Others prefer staying home and doing a quieter exercise routine after the demands of a stressful day. Either approach, or a combination of the two, can result in improved mind and body fitness.

Remember that fitness of mind and body belong together, and that exercise is very narrowly defined in our society. So redefine exercise as any activity that reduces stress and connects your mind and body. You'll be more likely to continue your exercise plan and achieve the outcome you're looking for.

Building Friendship

Humans are social beings. It is in our nature to build relationships with one another. It is a need that can't be denied nor ignored. For a person, it is important to be in relationship where he or she can love and be loved. Having no relationship of any kind makes us feel alone and unwanted. This is why people build friendships with one another. It is a social need that gives us self-worth. But what is friendship? What is a friend? According to the dictionary's definition the word friend means a person attached to another by feeling of affection or personal regard. A person who gives assistance or support. Someone who is on good terms with another, a person who is not hostile or a member of the same nation or party. The word friend was taken from both Old English language frEon meaning to love and frEo meaning free.

Friendship is another form of love. It is not a lesser form of love but just another kind. Some people even consider friendship as the highest form of love. Like love, friendship is built over time through trust and acceptance. However, unlike love, friendship is not a monogamous relationship. Two people in a friendship don't need to exclude other people from their relationship as one can have two or more friends. Friendship can best be thought of as two people, side by side, moving forward together in life.
Friendship can also be defined in terms of freedom. Having a friend can also be liberating. It gives you the feeling of freedom to be yourself. To show what you really are and how you really feel. How many of us have been in a situation where we only express what we truly feel to our friends? When my ex boyfriend and I broke up, I was sad and devastated. However I didn't want to tell anyone because I was afraid to be judged. When my very close friend found out and called me, I immediately broke down and told her how I really feel inside. It felt liberating to have someone who would listen and you can truly express yourself.

Education is very important

Education is very important for today. Consequently, business education is more important to this business world. To improve our knowledge there have many level of education like primary school education, secondary school education and university level education. For example, Taiwan’s educational system is well-developed and included several stages of study. Nowadays Taiwan has a nine-year compulsory education system, which includes six years of elementary school and three years of junior high school. After the compulsory education a person may graduate from senior high school after three years of studying and then go on with studying in a university or college for four years. There are advantage and disadvantage in university level education.

A advantage of a university-level education, whether that be the traditional academic education, or a more specialised training that exists and is provided at university level within the Higher Education sector so that this type of education really very important for businessmen and women. Once upon a time, people thought that a University education would better people, but unfortunately it doesn't do it by itself, people have to work hard and young people these days aren't used to that. Beside that practical lesson in the education give more knowledge and brave to students to face the business troubles.

A university education teaches one to work with dedication and commitment towards the goal of learning and achieving. A serious degree of self mastery is involved in this process as well as the traditional subject learning plus skills of essay writing, researching, forming an argument, development of vocabulary, skills and knowledges.

Of course over and above all of this, there is a social education that occurs, a maturation process, a growth to adulthood and that state's wonders and woes. Learning to work and live with others is an important life skill that is learned.
A degree from a university means many thing to many different people. Only you can define the importance of a degree such as this to you and only you can determine whether or not now is the time for you to pursue a university degree.

If you are unsure about how advantageous a university degree could be to your life let's look at some of the advantages to a university education in relationship to acommunity college education. Money. The first obvious advantage of a university education would be in future earning potential. A four-year degree trumps a two-year degree almost every time. There would have to be exceptional circumstances for someone with a two-year degree to earn more over the course of a lifetime than someone with a four-year degree in the same exact field.

While a degree does not guarantee employability, it does improve the odds as well as the income potential that is associated with the field you are entering into. If you have a two-year degree the decision to continue your educational pursuits can be a tough one but it is well worth the effort in the end.

Housing. This is another distinct advantage that universities offer over community colleges. In fact, many universities are now offering housing opportunities to students with families in addition to those students who have no families.

Colleges and universities are offering all kinds of value when it comes to housing and meal plans. A great deal of the college experience is missed when you do not live on campus. For this particular reason students wishing to enjoy the experience that dorm life provides often consider universities over community colleges.

Diversity. This is another key component that is often missing at the community college level. International students find no real price breaks between universities and community colleges so they tend to opt for the housing and cultural atmosphere that universities present rather than going with the limiting educational, residential, and cultural experience offered by many community colleges.

You will find students of different races, religions, cultures, and nations on the university level-far more than will typically be seen in a community college unless you are attending community college in a very culturally diverse city such as New York.

Culture. This is something that is often lacking on the community college level, as they are largely commuter campuses. You will not see quite the opportunity to experience art, music, theatre, and other wonderful experiences that universities pride themselves in offering to their students.

There is nothing quite like the cultural offerings of most large universities and if you get the opportunity I hope you will take the time to stop and experience some of the wonderful things that being in a university community present you with an opportunity to experience.

Research opportunities. On a university level you will have the opportunity to participate in research projects with certain professors if your prove yourself worthy and express an interest. This is something that isn't as likely on the community college level as most professors in a community college are dedicated to teaching rather than research. You will find that the experience of working on a large-scale research project is unlike anything you are likely to experience again if you ever get the chance.
Confidence. There is nothing quite like a college degree from a university to help you become a more confident person both personally and professionally. This is something that really can't be achieved on the community college level but can only be experienced by getting a degree from a university.

We have discussed some of the wonderful advantages that university life and educations present. However, we must in turn discuss some of the other disadvantages that are associated with university learning as well. While we discuss these you should keep in mind that they do not by any means indicate that you should give up on your higher education goals, only that you should view your educational process with realistic expectations. While there are many types of financial aid available to students the vast majority of college students in this country make ends meet through the use of student loans, which must be repaid at quite a hefty interest rate, in order to cover the costs associated with university educations.

Beyond the one obvious disadvantage there are a few other disadvantages that bear mentioning in this particular circumstance. First of all, universities do not have the small intimate classroom settings.

In fact, for lower level course, most universities offer large auditorium classes that are taught by graduate students rather than professors and more often than not the students never get to know those who are charged with their education on more than a nod and smile while passing in the halls basis.

This method for learning is considered by many to be exceptionally inferior and the statistics prove that students who go straight into a four-year college environment

If that isn't enough of a disadvantage, many people find that the impersonal atmosphere of most universities is quite limiting when it comes to interaction with other students.
